Guest: Sharon Lynn – Director, Fairfax Area Agency on Aging

The Older American’s Act, initially enacted in 1965, was Reauthorized in 2016. This policy supports a range of services intended to promote the dignity of older adults through provision of services intended to help prevent hospitalization and nursing home placement, and support aging in place (help older adults live independently in their own homes as long as possible). Tonight’s guest, Sharon Lynn, the current Director of the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging (AAA), provides an overview of services available for older residents and their families how the Fairfax AAA has engaged with the community to plan services.
